SUEZ is delighted to be sponsoring the ENGIE charity cycle challenge 2017.  A three day bike ride that begins in Edinburgh, travels south past Carlisle, through the Lake District and then ends in Manchester. It covers an incredible 233 miles beginning on the 11th July and is expected to finish on Thursday 13th. The event is organised by ENGIE to raise funds for three great charities; Mind, The Prince’s Trust, and MacMillan Cancer Support.

The route is tough, covering a number of hills and country roads, but the scenery is spectacular which will help pedal the team to the finish line.  Included in the group of tenacious cyclists, is SUEZ’s Senior Business Development Manager, John Meredith.

John Meredith said ‘When I was asked to get involved I was absolutely thrilled. It is a real privilege to get asked as only two suppliers were able to take part last year.  ENGIE is a great company to work with and to be able to give something back to three highly rewarding charities makes the challenge completely worthwhile.  I know the three days will be physically demanding, but myself and the rest of the team have been training hard and we will be spurred on by the fact we are doing it in aid of Mind, The Prince’s Trust, and MacMillan Cancer Support.’

ENGIE, the global energy company, organises a company charity event every year.  Last year they raised over £15k, but aim to double that this year with a target of £30k. SUEZ is delighted to be sponsoring the event and we will be cheering John Meredith and the rest of the team on from the sidelines.
