SUEZ were nominated for not one, but two Medilink East Business Awards at the recent Medilink Innovation Day 2017. The Innovation Day is one of the most significant for the East Midland’s life sciences industry. It is well established and is now in its 13th year. The awards have five categories and SUEZ were finalist for the ‘Innovation’ and ‘Outstanding Achievement’ categories.
Dr Darren Clark, Chief Executive, Medilink East Midlands said ‘Year in year out, we continue to be impressed with the high quality of applications we receive. All the finalists should be very proud to have been shortlisted for these prestigious awards’.
Richard Sinden, Life Sciences Product Innovation and Regulation Director said ‘We are extremely honoured and appreciative to be nominated for two awards. This gives recognition to the innovative technology that we have developed in Daventry and our continued fight against water borne pathogens to create a safer environment for all.’
Delegates from different aspects of life sciences attended the day, which included highly regarded speakers such as Sir John Peace and Rt Hon Nicky Morgan MP. Vivienne Parry OBE took time out of her busy schedule as a writer and broadcaster for the BBC to compare the day with her signature flair, charm and extensive knowledge of the life sciences industry.
A valuable and insightful business perspective was including in the programme with speakers such as Richard Bradley, Pharmacy Director
of Boots UK and Lieutenant Colonel Chris Gibson MBE, Defence Medical Directorate. Over 30 companies exhibited and covered a variety of aspects in life sciences.
